Prout and Other Progressive Movements

Content: Roar Bjonnes will explore the intersections and divergences between several influential economic and social movements that have commonalities with Prout. These include Doughnut Economics, Degrowth, the New Economy Movement, The Progressive International, the Green Party, Bioregional Movements, and various Local Economy movements in the southern hemisphere. Each of these frameworks and its leaders offer unique perspectives on how to achieve a more equitable and sustainable world. Understanding the similarities and differences between Prout and these movements is crucial for fostering collaboration, creating a comprehensive approach to addressing global and local challenges, and last but not least to help spread more in depth knowledge about Prout.
Roar Bjonnes has been a Prout activist for over four decades and is the author of two books on its theory and practice--"Growing a New Economy" and "Principles of a Balanced Economy". He is the co-founder of Systems Change Alliance and a regular contributor to various blogs and publications.
