With the possible U.S. reelection of a person with a record of using misinformation as a political tool and undermining election institutions, while authoritarian figures are elected around the world, democratic institutions that were once thought to be unquestionably stable now seem under severe stress. This panel will explore what insights about these trends can be gained from Prout, and what can be done to achieve governance that is more responsive to human needs and sustainable within an interconnected global ecosystem.
