Bill Ayers is a retired Department of Education Professor at the University of Illinois - Chicago. His foucs was on social justice, urban educational reform, narrative and interpretive research, children in trouble with the law, and related issues. He is also known by some for his activism in the late 1960's and early 1970's for his involvement and leadership in SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) and later with the Weather Underground. His Podcast is Under the Tree: A Seminar on Freedom. He is also the author of multiple books and articles.
